The First International
Conference of the School of Business at Mutah University, titled “Contemporary
Administrative and Economic Challenges and Future Prospects,” took place from
May 13 to May 15, 2012.
The conference aimed to analyze
contemporary administrative and economic challenges and devise mechanisms to
transform them into opportunities within a dynamic environment. This was
achieved through the exchange of expertise with foreign and Arab specialists in
the fields of management, economics, accounting, finance, and technology. The
conference also presented practical local and international experiences related
to identifying and addressing these challenges, as well as proposing potential
solutions.
The conference addressed several
key themes, including:
- Challenges facing human resource management in light
of the financial crisis,
- Issues of financial corruption,
- Administrative reform challenges,
- Management information systems,
- Emerging forms of business organizations,
- Opportunities and challenges of e-marketing,
- Organizational readiness and creative environments.
Additionally, the conference
explored:
- The role of accounting in addressing current
challenges,
- Strategies for fostering development,
- Public policy development and implementation
mechanisms,
- The impact of the energy crisis on sustainable
development.
A total of 29 research
papers were discussed, contributed by 35 researchers from
various countries, including the United Kingdom (1), Brazil (2), Algeria (10),
and Jordan (22).
