The Third International
Conference of the School of Business at Mutah University, titled “Strategic
Vigilance to Address Regional and Global Challenges in the Evolving Business
Environment,” took place from April 28 to April 30, 2015.
This conference explored critical
events impacting the region amid ongoing social, economic, and political
circumstances and their implications for the Jordanian economy, which is
interconnected with regional and global economic dynamics. It emphasized the
exchange of strategic insights to analyze the economic and administrative
environments of Jordanian and Arab institutions. The conference highlighted the
role of e-management, the impact of entrepreneurial practices in achieving
institutional excellence, and the application of modern information and
communication technologies to attract human resources and foster innovation
within business organizations in the realms of administrative and economic
information.
The three-day event aimed to:
- Bring together academics and researchers to exchange
knowledge and experiences on various strategies used in the evolving
business environment,
- Foster sustainable collaboration between universities
and industrial, commercial, and economic sectors,
- Strengthen the role of research in building
strategies to address regional and global administrative challenges and
achieve sustainable development.
The conference also sought to
benefit from the expertise of participating academics and researchers, promote
the exchange of innovative ideas and strategies, and create a forward-looking
vision that enriches theoretical discussions and enhances practical
applications.
A total of 47 research papers
were discussed, contributed by 81 researchers from several countries,
including Iraq (7), Bahrain (1), Saudi Arabia (2), Palestine (3), Malaysia (6),
Algeria (33), and Jordan (29).
